How does Kaspa's security compare to other DAG projects like Nano or IOTA?

Unlike other DAG-based projects such as Nano or IOTA, Kaspa is a generalization of the Nakamoto consensus, which means its security can be proven theoretically on par with Bitcoin's. Other DAG projects are not generalizations of Nakamoto consensus, so they cannot offer that same provable security guarantee. Many of them also use proof of stake rather than proof of work, which introduces a different set of tradeoffs, and their level of decentralization has been called into question. For a beginner, this matters because provable security means Kaspa's design rests on the same mathematical foundation that has kept Bitcoin trusted for over a decade — rather than relying on a newer, less battle-tested approach.
