What changes to timestamp flexibility are proposed in Kaspa's KIPs?
A Kaspa Improvement Proposal suggests expanding the timestamp flexibility window from two minutes to ten minutes. In Kaspa's protocol, timestamp flexibility controls how much the reported time on a block can differ from the network's agreed-upon current time — blocks that fall outside this window can be rejected even if they are otherwise valid. The proposal uses a 20-minute window sampled at one block every 10 seconds, giving a total window of 121 blocks, which makes the network more tolerant of minor clock differences between miners. For a beginner, the practical effect is fewer valid blocks being discarded simply because a miner's clock was slightly off.
