What is header pruning in Kaspa?

Header pruning is a planned Kaspa feature that would allow a node to run for long periods without its database growing indefinitely. Today, Kaspa nodes manage storage growth by resyncing from scratch — essentially wiping and rebuilding their local copy of the chain. Header pruning replaces that workaround by letting the node discard old block headers it no longer needs, keeping the database at a nearly fixed size over time. For anyone running a full node at home, this means long-term operation becomes far less storage-intensive and easier to maintain.
