Why is Kaspa's approach to decentralization different from other DAG projects?
The level of decentralization in other DAG-based projects is questionable, whereas Kaspa is designed around provable security rooted in the Nakamoto consensus. Decentralization means no single party controls the network — the more decentralized a blockchain is, the harder it is for any one actor to manipulate it. Many competing DAG projects also use proof-of-stake, a consensus mechanism that has its own set of open problems. Kaspa uses proof-of-work, the same mechanism as Bitcoin, which has a longer track record and a clearer security argument. For a beginner, this is worth knowing because decentralization and consensus mechanism are two of the biggest factors in how trustworthy a crypto network actually is.
