Why might Kaspa's block explorer show more transaction history than KDX or the web wallet?

The block explorer (explorer.kaspa.org or kaspa.stream) maintains its own full transaction database that is never pruned, making it the most reliable source for complete transaction history. KDX and the web wallet, by contrast, run nodes that prune their data daily, keeping only the most recent two to three days of blocks and transactions. This means if you stop using KDX or the web wallet for more than a day — or clear your browser cache — older transaction records may no longer appear in those tools. For a beginner, the practical takeaway is: always use the block explorer when you need to look up older transactions, even if your KDX or web wallet shows a shorter history.
